I do think it's important to explain that my weight is only being used to measure my success at becoming healthier. Having an obsession with numbers on a scale is not healthy, but weight undeniably affects a persons health. Since it's harder to track my risk of heart problems, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, infertility, stroke, etc quantitatively, I will be using weight.
September 19th, 2010 (our anniversary): 10 pounds total, 10 pounds since last goal, weight of 185- December 13th, 2010 (cruise): 20 pounds total, 10 pounds since last goal, weight of 175
- March 6, 2011 (my birthday): 30 pounds total, 10 pounds since last goal, weight of 165
- End of May, 2011 (end of semester): 35 pounds total, 5 pounds since last goal, weight of 160
- September 19th, 2011: 45 pounds total, 10 pounds since last goal, weight of 150
- Mid-December, 2011 (end of semester): 55 pounds total, 10 pounds since last goal, weight of 140
If things go as planned this puts me at my goal in almost a year and a half. However we should all know by now that things rarely go as planned. As such I will be re-evaluating my goals as each date passes based on my progress thus far. Goals met will be struck-through, goals moved up will be in bold, and goals pushed back will be in italic.
